Georgia FIRST® LEGO® League Tournament Registration Guidelines
- Before you start, you MUST register with FIRST®. Click here if that step is not already completed.
- Next, click the registration link at the top of this page.
- If you are a first-time user, you will need to create your account and password.
- Complete the registration form for your team and organization (double-check to make sure all fields are correct on the confirmation page!).
- We recognize that you may not know the exact demographics of your team so please do the best that you can as this impacts the number of keychains that you will receive. This information can be updated later.
- You have the opportunity to select 6 regional host sites. Within the registration form it shows you the dates and locations of each tournament. Please choose wisely! This information cannot be edited once you hit submit.
- Coaches with multiple teams:
- you will register each team separately. Once the first team has been registered select "Multiple Teams - Pay Later" on the payment screen.
- On your confirmation page click the link to register another team and start the process over again.
- once all teams are registered return to your home screen in the registration system. Your total due will be in RED in the top right corner and you can proceed with the below instructions.
- There are 4 payment options. Clicking on each one in the registration system will provide further instructions and details:
- Pay now by credit card
- County/Organization - Pay Later
- Multiple Teams - Pay Later
- PO/Invoice - Pay Later
- You are fully registered once payment is received!
Regional Assignment Process
- Regional tournaments are assigned based on several factors:
- The order in which teams register. Teams that register first get assigned first
- The rankings that teams choose for which regional competition they prefer. We try to place all teams in their first choice, but teams that register late are often placed in their 2nd-6th choice. Register early and remember that you cannot change these selections once you hit submit!
- The capacity of each regional tournament. Regional tournament host may elect to have 12, 24, or 36 teams at each of their sub-tournaments.
- The tournament host may also elect to add additional qualifications for participation in their tournaments (i.e. only elementary schools, in-county only, etc.).
- Once assigned, you will receive communication through two methods:
- the email you used in registration will be contacted with your regional assignment.
- all regional assignments will be posted on this website.
